HLADI Advances Nutrition Initiatives through Comprehensive IMAM Training

03 Sep, 2024

The Health and Lifestyle Awareness Development Initiative (HLADI) proudly participated in a rigorous three-week training program centered on the Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM). This initiative marks a significant step forward in our ongoing commitment to addressing malnutrition challenges in Nigeria, particularly among vulnerable populations.

The IMAM training was meticulously designed to empower healthcare professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage acute malnutrition effectively. It covered various aspects, including identification, treatment protocols, and follow-up care for affected individuals, ensuring that participants are well-equipped to implement best practices in their communities.

HLADI's Role in the IMAM Program

HLADI is actively involved in the IMAM program across seven key states: Benue, Taraba, Gombe, Adamawa, Kaduna, Borno, and Plateau. Our organization leverages its expertise in digital solutions to support the effective implementation of this program.

Digital Solutions for Enhanced Impact

Our digital team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data related to trained personnel at both the state and community levels. By integrating Information Technology (IT) into our operations, we aim to:

  • Enhance Program Effectiveness: Streamlined data collection processes allow for real-time monitoring and assessment of program activities, ensuring that interventions are timely and effective.

  • Ensure Data Quality: Robust data management systems help maintain the highest standards of data accuracy and reliability, which are crucial for tracking progress and making informed decisions.

  • Inform Evidence-Based Decision-Making: By analyzing the collected data, HLADI provides actionable insights that guide policy formulation and program adjustments, ultimately leading to better nutritional outcomes.

HLADI's commitment to the IMAM program spans multiple states, specifically focusing on the following:

  • Benue

  • Taraba
